HIPAA Compliance in IT Department

The HIPAA is no longer alien to the healthcare or insurance industry. HIPAA's security regulations cover patients' medical records number, social security number, patients' home address and diagnosis code. At a later stage, HIPAA security regulations turned into serious business. HIPAA compliance has now plays a crucial role in the IT Department in terms of enterprise storage management. It is the responsibility of the organizations to ensure that their IT Department passes the HIPAA compliance test.
